Working 1:1 with Joy

  • "You hold your work with humor and a warm, earthy, affection, creating much space to open up. You bring a playful and almost mischievous spirit, along with a zest for exploration, that feels like being in a playground."

  • "I don't have people in my life with whom I can feel safe sharing what I visualize. Not only were you able to set the scene for this, but you also went on the journey with me, which created a supportive environment for more interpretations, synergies and accessing more deeper layers of who I am and who I'm becoming."

  • "Joy, there are many things I appreciate about you. Your deep listening and love. Your generosity of spirit. Your ability to help notice, name and normalize things the seemingly little (read: not so little) things that allow me to sink more deeply and comfortably into myself. Your sincerity and devotion, and more."

  • “The container of our conversations was safe and loving. This is a magic recipe.”

  • "Working with Joy is like having a friend who goes on one of those hikes where you taste the fresh fruit that's fallen onto the ground, and feel brightened up by the mist of the waterfall, and see and imagine things that you don't quite have words for. A shared experience that you're not sure anyone else could go on with you."

Weird times, huh?

Where to turn, what to fix, how to help? In these frenetic times of collapse, change, and wildly speedy progress, it can be hard to know the best use of our life force.

I help folks become more grounded, centered, and attuned to what is true for them. From here it becomes possible to move through life more calmly, effectively, helpfully… even joyfully.

This exploration involves some combination of these three approaches….

Energetics

What is happening in us—dynamic currents in our subtle body—creates what takes shape outside of us.

I have studied personal energy work and martial arts for over a decade and can help you develop competency in tracking and shifting your energetic field. For instance, what is it to be physically grounded? What do boundaries literally feel like?

When those shifts begin to happen it’s amazing what we begin to bring in.

Creativity

Life wants to know itself through us. When we begin to work consciously with this force, our days become a lot more fun and fulfilling.

Being in this joyful place also makes us magnetic: more of what we want comes our way.

My work in this area ranges from inviting the shy creator self to come out and play to supporting existing creative projects, and everything in between.

Holding / witnessing

You know when you’re not feeling well, how healing it can be to have someone quietly nearby? Not fussing, not fixing, just… there?

When things are too muddy to even know what we need to ‘solve,’ the reassurance that we are not alone (far from it) can be clarifying.

Here you will find a serene, static-free, powerfully held space where you have plenty of room to be with the parts of yourself that need to be known.

Held: A 3-month program

A way of working together that has a definitive timeline and some tangible takeaways.

Nope, none of this is about achievement.

There are no lists or best practices or tips or advice.

It’s all about who you came into this life to be.

We’ll go as far down the road toward meeting that person as you care to travel.

  • "As someone who was long conditioned to hide or be embarrassed of my writing because I'd been criticized as a poor writer and lacking clarity, or as needing to hold in the stories that may embarrass others, it was incredibly freeing to have a place where it felt anything could come."

  • "You helped me look first at my writing with the eyes of a lover rather than the eyes of a critic."

  • "You helped me write from my body and soul, from the well of energy and spirit in me just waiting to be tapped."

  • "You unlocked a treasure chest in me that I’d been so intrigued by, but that I was afraid to open."

  • "Working with Joy has brought a huge amount of healing in my life. Working together brought the kind of ease that makes it possible to be yourself and bring yourself to the work."

  • "Working with you felt like an invitation to write from a place that is truly me, and in doing so I discovered and uncovered more than I anticipated."
