Inbox Poem

Sometimes our creations are hiding in plain sight. In a truly enchanted moment this week, a friend sent me a poem she’d written, with its first line—”Water is magic”—in the subject field.

Somehow this lit up the stack of subject lines in my inbox that day. Inspired by my friend’s poem, my eyes wove the lines together into their own meaningful (for me) verse. It awoke me to all I’m being invited to see every day.

How about you?

Check out what might be lurking in your inbox, your calendar, your grocery list, or anyplace there is an ever-shifting stack of words inviting you to notice it. Stitch it together into a message just for you. And/or, set your timer for 8 minutes and keep your hand moving in response to the prompt: “I never noticed…”

I am always overjoyed to see your thoughts and writing in the comments. Please share!
